Free Fast Food Nation

Off the Cuff Comment:
Sunday, after hearing about how God has blessed this country, I headed for the take-out line at the fast food place. For 12 minutes I inched my SUV along with the A/C on high, gas gauge dropping. Then, I thought, this is absolutely ridiculous, having to pay $2.79 for gasoline. The government should fine, tax, or whatever it takes to get the oil companies back to $2 gasoline. Then this clown from Bush's office comes on. If Americans would reduce their driving by only 4 percent, we would have an excess supply of gasoline. Bush doesn't understand this is a free country.

My Comment:
Heaven forbid you get out of the car and walk the 25 feet to go INSIDE the fast food joint.

Kennedy

Off the Cuff Comment:
Patrick Kennedy said that the name Kennedy is sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse. Wrong! It is some people with the name Kennedy who are a curse.

My Comment:
Anyone remember the MTV VJ Kennedy? Truly a walking curse.

Roll it back, and freeze

Off the Cuff Comment:
If President Bush really wanted to do something for the price of gas for the American public, he would roll it back, freeze it, and then he would hit a windfall profit tax on all the oil companies and it would stop the problem. But he really doesn't want to do anything about it. He is padding his own pockets along with all the other Republicans who love all these big oil companies.

My Comment:
Roll back prices and freeze them, then add another tax to oil companies? Prices will be even higher when every US refinery is closed because their owners went belly-up.
